Web Engineer
Salary: £45,695 to £49,400
Location: Croydon

Hello, we’re the Pension Protection Fund.  We protect the futures of millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes.  Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers go bust and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.
We’re currently looking for a Web Engineer to join the team and be responsible for maintaining and developing our Customer focused website; within this role you will be putting our members at the heart of everything you do by ensuring the accurate and smooth operation of bespoke customer focused web services.
The job holder will be providing technical and administrative support to our Member Services Website by carrying out acceptance testing on features and requirements, using in-house testing functionality and technical troubleshooting, resolving issues with web systems infrastructure, supporting the editing of a content management system (CMS), make advanced changes via the CMS using direct input to the HTML code, understanding of web usability (UX), search engine optimisation (SEO) and web analytics and also writing HTML and other intuitive web based support languages (API’s).

We’re looking for applicants with a Degree in IT or an Equivalent qualification and for someone that has a real passion for working out why parts of a Website are not working the way they should be. We need an individual that has strong HTML/JavaScript coding experience and if you have Content Management System, SQL, Analytics, and SEO experience it would be seen favourably but this is not essential.

Would you like a position that will challenge you, give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and also be part of a team that really help the end users? If so, we would love to hear from you.
Sound like you? Apply now.
Now is a really exciting time for us. We’ve got big plans for 2019, and beyond, and we’d love you to join us.
In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role in a dynamic business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career in a vibrant environment. And of course, you’ll also get a competitive rewards package.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
No agencies please.
