Internal Sales Electrical Wholesale

Company Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • This is an Internal Sales role, working Monday to Friday from the branch location near Torquay.
  • You will be speaking to customers over the telephone and on email, answering enquiries and completing quotations.
  • The Internal Sales person will follow-up on quotations, deal with any special requests from clients and process sales orders.
  •  You will be managing existing customers and cold calling out to potential new customers.
  • In this role, you will also be opening Trade Accounts, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  •  Other duties will be required from time to time, such as covering the Trade Counter during busy periods or lunch cover etc.
  • General duties will need to be carried out, helping out the other members of the team as required.
  • This role offers great career progression, in time you will be trained in External Sales and this role could progress to full time external sales role.

For this position you must have the following:

  • You must have experience of working in the Electrical Wholesale industry and have a good understanding of the products.
  • It is vital that you have previous telephone sales experience, either in the Electrical Wholesale or in an associated role.
  • You must be able to cold call customers of various sizes to agree Terms of Business, opening accounts and winning new business.
  • A good attitude and strong work ethic is vital to your application, our client needs someone who is hard working and trustworthy.
  • It is essential that you have good administration skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, are essential to this position.
  • A desire to learn new product information and about the products in the Electrical Industry is essential.

For this position, you will ideally have the following:

  • Experience of selling products to Contractors, M&E Consultants or Facility Managers and other routes to market would be highly beneficial to your application.
  • General knowledge of Lighting or Electrical products is required and the greater your experience, the better for your application.
