Senior Accountant

Do you want to work for a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Carlisle? They work nationally providing a full portfolio of accounting, taxation and management services to a specialised portfolio of artists and other creative people.

This role can be a Full or Part time position dependant on the candidate. You will earn a salary of GBP40,000 per annum pro rata. Included in this role will be a lot of support and progression for the right applicant!

Key duties;
Work closely and empathetically with clients UK wide small and large with various needs
Daily liaison with clients and meetings as required
Taxation support including VAT, Income Tax, Corporation Tax and PAYE
Preparation of annual and management accounts including statutory filings
Preparation of financial forecasts and budgets
Identifying additional services to offer the best support

You must have previous working experience within a similar Accountancy role and must have excellent attention to detail. You must have strong underlying accounting and taxation skills including experience and use of the relevant software packages. You will have empathy for creative people and processes, be a confident individual and be able to manage your own workload of clients. Ideally you will have an Accountancy qualification, however an outstanding candidate qualified with experience will be considered!
