Our client is a leading global logistics supplier with a presence across the world with a vacancy for a Logistics Quality Manager to join the team.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 07.55 - 16:35, Friday 07:55 - 14:55

Responsibilities:
To support the whole warehouse operation and with the data collection and analysis, planning, process design and capture through the implementation of the company's agreed Project Methodology and Quality Management Systems. The candidate will be highly visible both in the warehouse and at the customer manufacturing plant to drive collaborative quality improvement and sustainment campaigns. The role also holds accountability for site safe systems of work via a Health and Safety Officer.
Summary of main responsibilities:
• Initiate and drive quality initiatives and breakthrough project to reduce escapes to customer assembly line measured via PPM, lost volume, line stop and missing at point of fit occurrences.
• Collecting, analysing and presenting data to drive informed decisions with respect to transactional process and product quality defects and providing the "lightest touch" means if collecting robust data and drive decisions.
• Own risk analysis processes and develop and improve site PFMEA and to contribute towards development of robust countermeasures to mitigate risk to customer quality.
• Work closely with planning and engineering and IT to introduce innovative mistake proofing solutions. SOP's, work instructions, visual management system and operational/quality dashboards and drive improvements in the warehouse management system.
• Work closely with Logistics Centre of Excellence and operations management to drive robust training and retraining initiatives.
• Ownership of Non-Conformance reporting for customer issues detected on the assembly line and also those on behalf of the customer for haulier and supplier based nonconformity detected within the warehouse processes.
• Participate in regular internal senior management forums and customer quality and overall performance review circles relating to process and product quality and delivery of contractual SLA
• Responsible for mitigating customer contractual penalties in relation to service level and product conformity
• To lead, coach and support a team of quality compliance personnel within the warehouse that work across 3 shifts
• To be conscience of the operation at all times to protect our staff, the facilities, our equipment and customer output
• Work closely with operations to ensure fast effective containment and robust countermeasures are implemented, sustained and documented
• To take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affec5ted by your actions at work
• Any other duties as covered by your contract of employment

Skills and Qualifications required:
• 3/4PL Automotive Logistics or Tier 1 with OEM facing experience at a senior level
• Deep Analytical/problem solving skills and recognitions of need for accuracy, Lean 6 Stigma Green/Black belt would be a distinct advantage
• Experienced in implementing and working in accordance with ISO9001:2015, OHSAS18001, ISO140001, experience of IATF16949 and advantage; as would IOSH Certificate
• Excellent verbal, written and customer facing communication and presenting skills
• A high degree of computer literacy e.g. MS Office including Visio, SAP ERP would be a distinct advantage along with Warehouse management systems and knowledge of interfaces to customer ERP systems
• Degree in either Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics or Business Administration or CILT qualification
