JOB TITLE:
Business Development Executive
DIVISION / DEPARTMENT:
Waste/Recycling
LOCATION:
East Midlands - Derby/Nottingham/Chesterfield
REPORTING TO:
Senior Commercial Manager
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Basic - GBP22,000 - GBP28,000, Bonus Scheme OTE GBP12-15k, Company Car, Laptop and IPhone, Contributory Pension
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Sell profitable Commercial and Industrial new business.
MAIN DUTIES:
* Sell proactively and reactively profitable new business within a defined territory.
* Achieve and exceed monthly new business targets and other specified KPI's.
* Complete, as required, all new business activity reports in a defined manner.
* Acquire and communicate market knowledge of area as well as competitor activities.
* Work effectively with cross functions to ensure a 'best in class' offer and service.
* To carry out any other reasonable job related tasks.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledge of local businesses/new developments within defined territory.
* Waste Industry experience preferable, but not essential,
* Good sales process knowledge required along with presentation skills.
* Good IT Skills required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To support WARD in achieving continuous improvement in performance and profitability.
* To maintain effective relationships within the Company by being an active member of the team, supporting colleagues, manager, customers and the company at all times, by communicating effectively.
* To be flexible in order to contribute to the success of the business and to ensure excellent customer satisfaction both internal and external.
* To participate actively in working towards the objectives of the Company in all appropriate ways.
* To conform to procedural agreements covering all matters which may from time to time be raised and to ensure that such matters are dealt with constructively and promptly.
* To ensure that standards of health, safety and welfare is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company and the relevant statutory requirements so far as is reasonably practical.
