CGP is the UK’s No.1 educational publisher. We’ve been growing rapidly and there are lots of exciting new products in the pipeline. We need to recruit talented new Trainee Editors with a mix of academic backgrounds to help us create them, and that’s where you come in...

We’re looking for Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Geography and Modern Foreign Languages (French, German or Spanish) graduates to become an essential part of our publishing team. Whether you’re a new graduate, final year student or have some work experience already, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work in project teams with experienced Editors and Senior Editors producing material to make subjects come alive for students — we’ll teach you our unique writing style! To be considered for this role, you must have a good eye for detail and have:

  • At least a 2:1 degree and AAB at A-Level (or a very good reason why not!)
  • The analytical skills to pick out the most important bits of a subject
  • The flair to explain things in a clear yet engaging way
  • A flexible and positive attitude in everything you do

In return, we can offer you a rewarding career with a well-established and trusted brand, as well as a great working environment on the southern edge of the Lake District.

Since 1996, CGP has been helping students succeed in school, and now, with over 11.4 million products sold in 2018 alone, we're the most-loved educational publisher in the UK. We have a huge range of over 1000 bestselling resources for ages 5-18 and beyond. But success hasn't gone to our heads — we're still dedicated to making the best books at the lowest prices, delivered with the friendliest service.

To apply, email us your CV and a cracking cover letter telling us why you’d make a great Trainee Editor via this jobboard.

Please remember to include your A-Level / GCSE exam subjects and grades.

Assessment days — July / August 2019

Start dates — September 2019 January 2020

Closing Date: Monday 8th July 2019
