Toxicologist

An opportunity for a Toxicologist to join an expert consultancy focussing on chemical regulatory compliance and chemical safety assessment. You will join the toxicology team and support diverse projects ranging from new chemistry development, testing strategy development, registration support, worker safety, consumer safety and regulatory science research.

Client companies are from various sectors including chemicals, biocides and cosmetics; they chose to work with this team of experts due to the bespoke approach, high quality scientific knowledge, regulatory expertise and track record of providing pragmatic and commercially sound support. The work is varied, you won't be constantly bogged down with dossier writing; you will be given autonomy, you will work closely in working groups with clients' experts, you will be able to share ideas, attend conferences and professional society meetings and support the development of new less hazardous chemicals. The company has a strong, consistent flow of work; your role will be delivery of projects and the ongoing development your own and the team's regulatory science / toxicology capability.

We are interested in hearing from candidates with at least an MSc in Toxicology or similar discipline along with experience in a toxicology role with a consultancy, CRO, regulator or industry company. You must have experience of, and a strong interest in toxicological assessments of chemicals or biocides, ideally knowledge of regulations such as REACH or BPR and specific interest / knowledge of repro, development, carcinogenicity study guidelines. You are likely to have study monitoring experience and an interest in computational models / predictive toxicology. You must be a confident communicator who enjoys or would like to work directly with clients in working groups, providing advice/expertise and sharing ideas.
