Citizens Advice Hull & East Riding (CAH&ER) is a busy, progressive and dynamic service serving a city and a large rural county. CAH&ER work together to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients.
The Community Connect Project is funded by the Lottery for 3 years and will work within communities in North Hull providing advice, support and information on the issues that matter to them, with the overall aim of reducing financial and digital exclusion and empowering residents to help themselves.
Community Adviser (2 posts)
22 hours per week (per post)
Salary: £24,998 per annum pro-rata Actual: £14,864 actual
We are looking for two experienced and enthusiastic Community Advisers to provide generalist advice at community venues in Hull. The post holder/s will offer high quality 1-1 advice on a range of issues relating to income maximisation and financial capability. In addition you will provide guidance, support and information to enable residents to successfully engage with digital services, including effectively managing on-line claims and applications.
You will have the ability to work both independently with minimum supervision, and as part of a team and to be confident using a wide range of IT systems.
The post holders should ideally have experience of generalist legal advice in a range of areas with a good knowledge of benefits, housing and debt.
