Site Facilities Manager - Hard FM

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction / property maintenance individual to join major FM company operating within the MoD sector

You will manage Direct Delivery Team and Supply Chain performance to ensure that all statutory, mandatory and reactive performance indicators are consistently achieved. You will be responsible for making decisions and deliver solutions that impact the site team and liaise with internal and external customers to deliver high service levels.

You’ll be accustomed to managing a team to ensure the delivery of agreed KPIs and will have experience of managing site operations, including planning, directing and controlling activities and agreeing the scope and priorities of work.

 

Role Specific information:

  • Liaising with external and internal stakeholders, including Senior Management, local MoD personnel and Head of Establishments you will be a confident negotiator who can influence others, whilst maintaining a professional demeanor and a customer-focussed attitude

  • Manage production and regularly review appropriate work plans, ensuring adherence to budgets whilst meeting changing operational needs

  • Identify opportunities on establishments that will support the MoD’s carbon reduction targets. Lead service delivery and Additional Works to incorporate sustainable solutions and support the sustainability agenda.

  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in priorities and successfully manage a variety of projects simultaneously


 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all documentation relating to maintenance and response works is completed and distributed in a timely manner and recorded against the appropriate assets in the WorkManager system and provide up to date details to Land and Asset Management Services.

  • Own the development, preparation of and continual update of both the ESTS and the FASP for all sites under your control.

  • Confer with the Additional Works team to ensure that all works are completed to the required standards, that relevant documentation is handed over in a timely manner upon completion and that it is recorded against the appropriate assets in WorkManager.

  • Ensure the management, recruitment, motivation and development of staff and operatives, to deliver the agreed level of service with an appropriate base of suitably skilled and qualified people.

  • Manage cost and stakeholder expectations through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money.

  • Manage local budgets and review profit and loss for effective delivery within contractual requirements.


 

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Significant practical management in Construction, Property Maintenance or related field

  • A general manager with experience of managing site operations

  • HND, or equivalent, level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/

  • Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g. SMSTS)
