This role is a great opportunity for a Financial Analyst to work within a well-established manufacturing organisation, working closely with Plant Management with your base in Cheshire, but will also come with responsibility for other UK sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop into a Management Accountant role, or you may already be at that level, and your responsibility and success in driving cost efficiencies and improvement of profitability will naturally lead you towards your chosen career goals.
Summary
You will examine and review cost records and ensure cost data is allocated correctly. Also responsible for ensuring compliance measures are in place in regards to internal control procedures, preparing journal entries, and preparing forecasts and budgets.
You will be based at your main site, but there will be occasional travel required to other sites to offer direct support, effective overview and ongoing liaison with Purchasing and Engineering Teams, working through things such as Labour rates and costings and ongoing KPI's.
Financial Duties
* Month end accounting and journal entry preparation review, inventory and general reconciliation.
* Financial Reporting and Forecasting.
* Annual Inventory and Fixed Asset Inventory, and analysing ongoing cost and expenses and preparation of relevant reports.
* Monitor progress against forecasts.
* Undertake any ad-hoc projects as required.
You will be an excellent communicator, mixed with analytical ability and strong attention to detail, and be adept at cost accounting with ideal experience with GAAP accounting principles.
You will also ideally hold a degree in Accounting and Finance and/or may have worked towards or attained any of the following CA/ACCA/CIMA, although all levels of experience will be strongly considered.
