Finance Team Manager 3 Month Contract Edinburgh Competitive Rates Inside IR35

Providing expert financial advice, technical guidance and decision support
Providing transactional processing and analytical services
Producing the Board's budgets and finance reports, business plans, returns and annual accounts
Leading the organisation on corporate governance and financial management issues
Ensuring a strong and effective internal control environment
Ensuring the finance systems/procedures meet all statutory requirements and support business needs

Key Skills
Experience of managing a team is essential (team of 6 in this role), supervising tasks to ensure they are being done and if possible some payroll knowledge would be very helpful.
Experience of operating at a supervisory level in a Financial Services team
Proactive approach to continuous process improvements
Experience of dealing with escalated queries and providing a high quality of customer service to all stakeholders.
Extensive experience in either/both Accounts Payable or Payroll
Monitoring daily cash movements and balances
An understanding of all accounting principles including a basic knowledge of some of the more complex areas such as VAT and Cash Management and forecasting.
Ability to lead and set direction for a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan and organise a variety of tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
Ability to make decisions and analyse complex situations
Good working knowledge of current legislation in relation to the capture, storage and use of data.
Extensive experience of using Microsoft Excel Development and reporting of key performance indicators for financial services
