Head Of Technical Services

Lead and foster a Technical Services centre of excellence, with overall responsibility for 65 staff, to ensure the successful delivery of technical projects and programmes and the maintenance of underpinning infrastructure technology services for the company and its customers.

Main responsibilities include:

• Deliver effective and efficient Technical Solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture.
• Manage the delivery of projects and programmes to deliver new or upgraded technical services.
• Manage technical services to agreed SLAs and quality levels, ensuring the that appropriate monitoring, capacity management, security maintenance, and patching is in place.
• Provide technical expertise and extensive knowledge, working in partnership with senior management team and key stakeholders in order to plan for emerging changes, strategies or initiatives within the organisation.
• Implement and improve demand management capabilities to ensure delivery of effective services / resources in line with current and planned demand.
• Lead a team of talented technical specialists, ensuring they receive support, personal development, and are given opportunities to work on new technology in line with business needs and strategic direction.
• Adhere to service management process and standards.
• Establish continuous improvement processes, systems and tools in order to continue to deliver innovation and value to the portfolio.

Level Of Experience

• Minimum 5 years in a similar role
• ITIL, PRINCE2, and Agile experience
• Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
• Solid all-round technical experience to include Office 365, Azure, LAN and WAN, and Security Operations
