They are currently recruiting for a Deputing Purchasing Manager to join their team, developing and executing local purchasing strategies in line with Global purchasing policies. This will include sourcing, tendering and assessing new products and vendors as well as conducting negotiations with prospective and existing suppliers with the intention of reducing costs, mitigating purchasing risks and optimising both stock levels and the scheduling of goods and services. 


Key responsibilities for this role will include monitoring and forecasting future levels of stock, goods and/or services you'll liaise with other functions within the business and will assess, manage and mitigate purchasing risks to the Grimsby factory and/or the Group. 


As the Deputy Purchasing Manager, you will determine the quantity, timing and cost of deliveries, in addition to providing the logistical interface between suppliers and the organisation’s central purchasing to ensure supplies to the business are scheduled to be delivered when required. Other responsibilities will include documenting and maintaining appropriate SHE procedures for purchased materials and services as well as the receipt of goods/materials to the site, ensuring weekly raw material stock checks are carried out and will manage the storage of consumables in accordance with ISO9000/14000.


The successful candidate will have experience of working within a similar role in a Manufacturing Environment, ideally purchasing Raw Materials. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject and must be CIPS qualified.
