Administrative Assistant – Post F121 (20 hours per week)
Scale B (SCP 4-7) £18,426 - £19,554 pro-rata
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our Customer Services’ Admin team, providing operational, financial and administrative support to Customer Services and other Council departments at our Southfields offices in Loughborough.
As well as undertaking a variety of clerical processes your role will also include financial receipting and reconciliations, data entry, application processing, and postal administration and scanning duties.
You will have at least 12 months recent general office administration experience, ideally with experience of dealing directly with customers (both internal and external), preferably with experience of working within a legislative framework, and also have some cash and payment handling experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to work within a small team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision, and being able to meet targets and deadlines while ensuring consistency and accuracy. You must also be confident with technology and the use of software systems, with good keyboard and IT skills.
You will be working 20 hours a week to a fixed working pattern (Monday - 8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch; Tuesday - 8am to 12pm; Friday 8am to 4.30pm with 30 mins lunch) but will ideally be able to offer additional hours and some flexibility to help cover holidays or sickness if need be.
