Job: Print Finishing Manager
Location: Sheffield
Salary: GBP30,000 p.a + Benefits
Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a Sheffield based and well-established Print Company. We are supporting the Recruitment of Print Finishing Manager due to the businesses continued growth.
As my clients Print Finishing Manager you will run the company's Hand-Finishing department effectively and efficiently.
The role:
- Ensure required quality of work.
- Ensure quality control before being despatched.
- Work with the production team on deadlines and produce the job to spec.
- Monitor workloads using various production methods and monitor capacity.
- To recruit full-time and part-time staff.
- Manage staff and monitor performance.
- To drive the on-going development of Lean principles throughout the Department.
- To represent the Company at external functions in a proper and professional manner, whenever required, having an informed opinion from the Company's perspective.
- To fulfil the Company's requirements regarding the Company's Management Information Systems at all times.
- To follow all administrative procedures adopted by the Company at all times.
Key Performance Indicators
- Reduction of waste in respect of re-prints
- Variance to workload deadlines
- Variance from optimum manning levels
- Customer / Internal complaints
About you:
- Experience in a managerial role within a print finishing environment preferred.
- Current experience overseeing several departments.
- Excellent man-management experience and communication skills.
- Finishing experience.
- Experience of successfully implementing process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
