Location: Kettering

Summary
Are you an accountant looking to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding designer & manufacturer on a part-time basis? Perhaps you're a new parent looking to return-to-work or are wanting to work around another job / outside commitments. If so, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for!!

Our Client, an SME specialist manufacturer & distributer based in Kettering, is seeking an experienced FC / Company Accountant on a part-time permanent basis. You'll be primarily responsible for the company's management accounts, ledgers, managing expenditure, product costing, gross & profit margins etc.

Though a stand-alone role, you won't be working alone… you'll enjoy working in a small team environment that is friendly and informal, and you will be working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth for the company. In the next couple of years, the company will be looking to consolidate existing accounting & manufacturing processes/systems, and you will be instrumental in driving its implementation. This is a newly created position that has the potential to develop in line with the business's current growth trajectory, which has seen consistent & substantial increases in T/O year on year and is predicted to double this year.


Responsibilities
*Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits,
*Prepare and present monthly management accounts,
*Submitting quarterly VAT returns,
*Carrying out bank reconciliations,
*Costing Analysis,
*Monitor & analyse gross margin & profit,
*Maintaining & updating fixed asset records,
*Processing weekly income returns,
*Managing nominal ledger journals & invoices,
*Producing cashflow / budget projections and forecasts,
*Negotiation and administration of company insurance policies,
*Managing cash flow and bank balances,
*Managing & administering the company pension scheme,
*Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns,
*Providing general financial advice to the senior stakeholders.

Reporting to: Director of Operations


Requirements
*Qualifications: Part or fully-qualified CIMA, ACCA or qualified by experience,
*Proven corporate / company accountant or management accountant experience within a bespoke manufacturing SME (+ 5 years),
*Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations & practices,
*An analytical mind with the ability to diagnose, investigate & resolve issues,
*Be self-motivated with the desire to learn, assertive & possess initiative,
*Be highly organised & proactive, managing multiple workloads & capable of working to strict deadlines,
*Preferred Systems: Proficient with Quickbooks & Excel, or any accounting software related to manufacturing (experience implementing systems would be an advantage).

*Appointment Type: Permanent
*Annual Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 FTE, PRO-RATA for 16hrs (subject to experience)
*Hours: Part-Time, circa 16hrs PW, flexible work days
Operating Hours: Mon-Thu 8:30am - 5:00pm (30mins lunch), Fri 8:30am - 2:00pm
*Holiday 22 Days + STAT
*Nest Pension
*Death in Service (2x basic salary)
*On Site Parking
