An opportunity has arisen for a commercially aware, ambitious Procurement Professional to join
the team as a Procurement Business Partner for construction, highways and associated
You will lead on the design of commercially focused procurement and contract management
strategies to support for the council's capital infrastructure programme.
To be suitable for the role, it is essential that you have considerable construction related
procurement experience and working knowledge and experience of NEC/JCT forms of contracts.
A background in quantity surveying is not essential but is highly desirable.
You must be able to work collaboratively with others to ensure projects are delivered on time and
to tight deadlines.
Ideally, you will have public sector procurement experience and possess a good understanding of
Public Contract regulations 2015, you will have already achieved MCIPS, or are well on your way,
and you are committed to developing professionally. You can see the big picture and look for
opportunities to deliver improvement and efficiency.
