Burges Salmon has officially arrived in Scotland! Our recent opening of an Edinburgh office is part of our organic growth plan to better support the needs of our Scottish clients and continue to deliver an exceptional client service.

As our office is growing fast we are now looking to recruit Legal Secretaries to support our new lawyers. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our new office from the start.

As a Legal Secretary you will be an integral part of the firm, providing professional and high level support to a number of lawyers. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks including managing diaries, travel arrangements, client relationship management, business development support, producing legal documents and co-ordinating billing administration, to name a few.

The work is demanding, but exciting - you will be involved in deals that regularly make the headlines. Working alongside lawyers who are leaders in their field will require a number of different skills, to be successful in this role we will be looking for the following:

Excellent communication skills and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
The ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external clients and business services members.
A strong team player with leadership qualities.
The ability to demonstrate absolute discretion, maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations.
A confident, enthusiastic and committed approach, whilst remaining pro-active at all times.

Please note that this role operates a shift pattern over 35 hours per week. The two shifts are 8am - 4pm and 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday.
