JOB PURPOSE
To provide subject matter expertise regarding case management, providing direction regarding procedural and legal arrangements within the Scottish Criminal Justice context.
To manage the mapping of existing and development of optimal future processes and engage effectively with operational Subject Matter Experts (SME) and stakeholders from within the Criminal Justice community to understand the detail of the 'as-is' operating model.
To identify business benefit and operational opportunities and risks, using this knowledge to positively influence the design and solution build process.
To co-ordinate key SMEs and stakeholders and lead the development of the 'to-be' business process design and associated build of the national COS Case Management Module.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To manage the mapping and understanding of the 'as-is' case management operating model (people, processes and technology), in doing so work closely with operational SMEs and stakeholders.
2. To review and develop the existing business benefits analysis, identifying opportunities for change and associated risks.
3. To co-ordinate and chair Case Management SME and stakeholder engagement forums, including wider CJ as required.
4. To work with ICT leads to become fully conversant with the SMART2 Case Management solution, in particular understanding the opportunities for development to meet national requirements.
5. To work with key leads to lead the development and documentation of the optimal future 'to-be' operating model and associated delivery plan.
6. To lead the collation and prioritisation of the High Level Business Requirements required to drive the development of SMART2 and associated products.
7. To oversee the implementation of the delivery plan, providing subject matter assessment of emerging risks and opportunities, influencing positively the revision of the delivery plan.
8. Review delivery in relation to the delivery of business benefits and optimise realisation.
9. Will be responsible for managing and assessing risk within all areas of managerial/supervisory responsibility.
The above accountabilities and responsibilities are not exhaustive, and the Jobholder may be required to undertake additional duties that are consistent with
the level and grading of the role.

ESSENTIAL:
Educated to HNC level or equivalent plus proven recent experience in Case Management within a Scottish Criminal Justice context. Where no formal qualifications exist, considerable relevant and recent experience in Case Management within a Scottish criminal justice context.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Good understanding of technology and its transformational capabilities.
Ability to work effectively within a team and build common purpose in support of organisational objectives.
Previous leadership and/ or managerial experience in this specialist area
Must be able to attend meetings nationally.

A DRIVING LICENCE IS: Desirable

DESIRABLE:
Able to work from one of our Edinburgh, Dundee or Dalmarnock offices.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This full time post is permanent and requires Management Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
