Procurement Business Partner
Salary: Circa GBP30k
Location: Green Lane, Walsall
At South Staffs Water we deliver clean and reliable water supplies to around 1.5 million customers within the South Staffs and Cambridge regions. We recognise the need for fresh thinking and flexibility in how we approach the future and respond to new challenges. We are looking for a team member with business experience and examples delivering procurement strategy.
As part of the role you will be a key member within the business, delivering a first class approach on decision making and strategy, your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading, supporting and providing updates on tenders, contract review and negotiations• Contract management, including performance and timely review ahead of contract lapse• Building stakeholder relationships and managing end to end competitive procurement processes• Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and the company procedures• Providing recommendations to senior management through analysing spend, benchmarking and identifying savings and best value
We are looking for a positive and proactive person with strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the confidence to work alongside senior stakeholders and external suppliers. You must have excellent negotiation and influencing skills alongside legislation and process knowledge. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Procurement software and experience in trend analysis and reporting tools. Preference will be given to candidates who attain or are working towards completion of CIPS Level 5.

The role requires a valid UK driving license as regional travel (including Cambridge region) will be required.
