Science Technician

SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year).

Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.00pm on Friday. Salary: £15,757.73 to £18,257.92 per annum (FTE £19,015 to £22,032)

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Science Technician to join the College’s Science Technician Team. The successful applicant will be required to work with staff and students on the courses to support practical elements of learning in the labs, as well as maintain equipment and high standards of health and safety.

The post is available from 1 September on a permanent, part-time basis. Previous experience of working with teenagers is desirable, but not essential. The ability to feel confident in the presence of and communicating with young adults is essential. The role requires experience of working with science apparatus and resources e.g. chemicals. Occasional evening work is required for which time off in lieu will be given.
