DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD COORDINATOR

Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year).

Hours: 780 hours per year, to include core hours of 10.00am to 3.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday (negotiable). Salary: £9,139.99 to £10,570.34 per annum (FTE £19,694 to £22,776 per annum).

The College is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) Coordinator to lead and manage the College’s DofE Award provision. The successful applicant will be required to work with students to support their progress towards achieving the DofE Gold Award. The post holder will work with other members of the team to maintain equipment and high standards of health and safety.

The post is available from 1 September on a permanent, part-time basis. Evening and weekend work for training and expeditions is required. Expeditions are allocated 150 hours from the annualised hours and include one weekend in March, a Practice Expedition in April and the Qualifying Expedition in July.

Previous experience of working with teenagers is essential, along with the ability to feel confident in the presence of and communicating with young adults. The role requires extensive experience of the DofE Award Scheme and expedition coordination.
