Design Engineer

As the successful Design Engineer you will be working in Research & Development and pre-production of new products for a specialist in the manufacture of high-tech precision machined boring tools for a wide and varied global client base across various industry sectors who has a long-standing commitment to quality.

Duties:

• Produce specifications, design & develop new and modified mechanical components
• Assess project requirements
• Measure the performance of mechanical components
• Use Solidworks 3D Modelling software
• Undertake relevant research
• Produce and implement design & test procedures
• Present designs to managers
• Test, evaluate, modify and re-test products
• Documenting design, assembly and test procedures
• Analysing and interpreting data

Skill & Educational Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D, Microsoft Office Programs
• Knowledge of Parametric design (a bonus but not a must)
• Excellent numerical & maths skills
