Eden Scott's client is a forward-thinking manufacturing organisation based in West Lothian. Following a major increase in activity, an opportunity has now become available for a Production Leader to lead a team of operatives on a shift basis.
**Continental shift pattern**
Key responsibilities:
* Lead a team of production staff ensuring KPI's, H&S regulation and Quality standards are adhered to
* Maximise production output, ensuring equipment and staff are working effectively and efficiently.
* Ensure products meet agreed specification
* Ensure downtime is monitored and recorded for improvement purposes.
* Ensure production is run in a cost-effective manner, by reducing waste and providing solutions as needed.
* Ensure the smooth running and operation of the factory during the shift
* Drive continuous improvement projects within the production area
* Review team member's individual performance via appraisals annually
* Develop staff within the team, overseeing all training
Candidates should have experience in a production management role, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be a confident leader, who has a presence on the factory floor and is comfortable managing people. The ability to lead, coach and motivate a team is essential, as well as delivering on KPI's and lean manufacturing activities
