Political Compliance Officer
A left-leaning political think tank is urgently seeking a Political Compliance Officer. The role pays GBP30K and is a temp to perm post. (Or would suit a Political Compliance Officer looking to temp only).
The Political Compliance Officer will work from an office near Westminster.
The Political Compliance Officer ensures compliance with the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act (PPERA) by completing and delivering accurate and timely reports to the Electoral Commission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Statutory Reports on donations and loans to the institution
* Statutory submission of accounts over GBP25k and over GBP250k each year to the Electoral Commission
* Statutory Reports on Campaign expending
* Maintaining the Registration documents with the Electoral Commission.
* Attendance at quarterly meetings of the Political Parties Panel which advises the Electoral Commission and Cabinet Office
The Political Compliance Officer should have at least 1 year of experience as Local Party treasurer or Compliance officer in the Finance service environment. Good analytical skills. A clear, detailed, logical approach with excellent record keeping. Experience of dealing with the public and statutory bodies in person, by phone or by email.
