Newly Qualified and Part Qualified Patent Attorney
Purpose of role
We are looking for a newly qualified and part-qualified European patent attorneys to join our industry-leading team of talented patent attorneys, to handle a growing international client base and workload.
Responsibilities
Our patent attorneys are immersed in the full range of the team's activities including patent prosecution, oppositions and observations, opinion work, portfolio strategy, FTO, transaction support, as well as licensing and litigation, across all areas of technology for some of the worlds largest technology businesses. The team also works closely with our Venture Technology practice, which supports over 1,000 early-stage companies disrupting their sectors.
Required experience, skills and attributes
A strong degree in a science, engineering, technology or a mathematics subject (essential in order to sit the European Qualifying Examinations), plus minimum 1.5 years' experience working as a trainee patent attorney, and ideally the PEB foundation examinations (or exemption) and/or the EQE pre-exam.
Our current work is across all technologies, including artificial intelligence, computer science, space and satellites, through to life sciences and biotech. We are highly supportive, collaborative and flexible in our approach.
Priority will be given to candidates with expertise in computer science to fulfill an urgent need in these areas. However applications from candidates from all scientific and engineering disciplines are welcome to send their cv.
