About the role

You will be joining Alzheimer's Society at a particularly exciting time. As the UK's leading dementia support and research charity, you will be supporting the delivery of a significant investment into our Volunteering approaches, which will enable the delivery of our strategy ambition.

You will report to our Volunteer Support Manager, within the Volunteering Development team, which is part of the People and Organisational Development Directorate. As the Volunteering Journey Projects Lead you will manage and oversee the delivery of a range of volunteering projects that focus on delivering improvements to our volunteer journey, volunteering experience and the development and improvement to a range of good practice tools and resources. You will blend great knowledge in volunteering processes and good practice with project management skills and an ability to work well with core stakeholders to deliver against our Volunteering Roadmap and our People Vision

About you

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will need a relevant Volunteer Management qualification or a high level of relevant experience within a large and complex charity. You will bring a broad breath of experience / knowledge of good practice in volunteer management in a geographically dispersed organisation and sound knowledge of current best practice in enabling great volunteering and demonstrating impact. You will have experience of initiating and managing a range of projects to deliver tools resources and new ways of working. You will need to be able to demonstrate highly effective communications skills, both written and verbal, across diverse and varied audience.
