Working with local authorities, CCGs and employers, we design, implement and evaluate innovative health and wellbeing services that will result in long-term health benefits through sustained behaviour change.
We are currently seeking a Regional Trainer to oversee the delivery of our health services, maximising service performance through reviewing, executing and recommending local and national training programmes. Our services comprise of physical activity, weight management and dietary components underpinned by behaviour change techniques and is delivered at a local and national level by a team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches and Advisors.
The Regional Trainer is responsible for the management and delivery of 1 to 1 and group training programmes, routine competency reviews and development plans. The post holder will also have responsibility for data input assurance; supporting ongoing evaluation of service outputs.
Job Scope:Delivery of set onboarding induction programme to new starters
Conduct group and 1 to 1 training and competency review sessions for all staff within allocated region (as per training protocol)
Conduct service user experience investigation through satisfaction survey analysis and various feedback channels (phone, in-person, social media, focus groups).
Create ambassador service user groups to support case studies and patient forum groupsDeliver 1:1 and group sessions to maintain and develop personal delivery competence
Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of data monitoring records for all Health & Wellbeing Coaches within your region in a timely and accurate manner (as per agreed timeframe)
Support the service user engagement strategy to ensure adherence to the programme and minimise drop-outs
Where required, deliver engagement events to generate interest in the programme for potential service users and stakeholders
Attend regular meetings with other Trainers, Coaches, Advisors and local operational and multi-disciplinary teams
Liaise with Service Users, Management and clinical teams, and key stakeholders
Management of signposting manual updates
Understand region and Health & Wellbeing Coach specific outcome and retention data to help assess performance
Develop and enhance training programmes and resources (as agreed with Training and Development Lead) to implement a continuous improvement strategy
Production of effective feedback reports following training delivery Keeping training records updated and ensuring timely delivery of records to Health & Wellbeing Coaches and Training & Development Lead
About You:Essential:A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Nutrition (or Health related science degree level including Psychology or Health Psychology'), Sports, Exercise Science (or the equivalent) and/or Fitness Qualification, REPS Level 3 with experience of delivering to groups of adults Previous experience in 1 to 1 and group facilitation and teaching, delivering information tailored to adults in a confident, engaging and interactive manner
You will have a passion for health improvement and supporting individuals to achieve a healthier lifestyle
A caring, empathetic attitude with the ability to use your own initiative
Excellent communication skills to enable confident delivery to diverse groups of adults with the ability to tailor style according to individual need
Able to work independently but seek help/support when necessary
Access to your own vehicle is essential (outside of London) as you will be transporting programme delivery equipment and expected to travel regularly within your region
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills Experience of working in the healthcare sector Preferable:
Previous responsibility in quality assurance
Additional training in areas such as motivational interviewing and behaviour change would be an asset
The ability to speak more than one language would be an advantage
CIPD Certificate in Training Practice PTLLS
