Role: Electronics Development / Innovation Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Salary: Up to GBP40,000 + 25 days (plus 8 Bank) holiday

Our client, a global market-leading manufacturing company is on the lookout for a Electronics Development / Innovation Engineer; the successful candidate will be working as part of our clients Liverpool based innovation centre of excellence; an innovative, stimulating environment.
You will be responsible for reviewing external technology to assess suitability for next-generation products. Duties range from desk research and methodology design, to rapid prototyping, integration, and testing.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to travel both within the UK and abroad identifying and assessing cutting edge external technology.
We are looking to speak with candidates who have a real passion for new technology and next-generation products and manufacturing processes. You will need to be an effective communicator with a strong capability to collaborate, influence, and drive action.
As the Electronics Development / Innovation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Technology Scouting: Scouring the market for new technology that could deliver value to next-generation products (NGP). This involves desk research; contacting SMEs, loan inventors, startup businesses, universities and corporate companies and attending relevant trade shows.
The successful Electronics Development / Innovation Engineer will have:
- BSc, PhD in Electronics Engineering or related field
- Experience in electronics design of consumer products, medical and handheld devices
- An interest in the latest and greatest advancements in technology
- A team player capable of managing and collaborating with various external partners
- Enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions to engineering challenges
