The association specialise in providing housing and supporting their tenants in affordable properties, covering shared ownership and sale, women's refugees, general rent, young people's foyer's and specialist accommodation for older and vulnerable people. Your new company has an ambition to build around 1,000 new homes per year.
The opportunity
Our client has opened their applications for an exciting opportunity for 2 x Scheme Managers to join their Retirement schemes in Basingstoke/Reading.
As a Scheme Manager you are responsible for carrying out a range of tasks to support and deliver a high quality of standards in their Housing Management services that ensures the well-being of residents and the proficient running of the organisation. Duties will include, managing the communal areas; reporting repairs, oversee contractors on site and repairs, ground maintenance, and general communal area cleaners. You will also be required to attend monthly meetings with the property manager and also carry out daily welfare checks via an intercom service.
You will have prior experience in the role, and will be responsible for the management and regulatory compliance of the scheme on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the security of the buildings, dealing with emergencies and ensuring maintenance and repairs are undertaken. As part of your duties, you will assist and monitor the general welfare of residents and promote their safety, independence and happiness.
The successful applicant will;
•Have previous experience in managing the elderly, retired or vulnerable persons in a retirement setting.
•You will have the ability to display a high level of knowledge for our customers in line with the regulatory and statutory leasehold & management legislation.
• Have good verbal, written and IT communication skills.
• Have previous experience delivering housing and tenancy management services.
• A passion for customer services.
