Shelter is looking for an ambitious and talented marketer to join our award-winning Marketing Team as Senior Marketing Manager and play a vital role in helping to end the housing emergency.

A home is a fundamental human need, as vital as education or healthcare. But in Britain today, access to a safe home is denied to millions of people whose lives are blighted by homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change - with individuals, in communities, across society - and leading the way to a safe home for everyone. We need ambitious, best in class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve.

About the Role

As Senior Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering outstanding integrated marketing campaigns which raise the profile of our brand, help us grow our supporter base and promote our advice services to those in need. Working with colleagues right across Shelter, in Campaigns, Fundraising and Services, you will offer best-in-class marketing support to help the teams meet their varying business objectives, from generating signups for events to building public support for social housing.

About you

Proactive, creative and commercially aware, you will have a strong track record of delivering successful marketing and communications campaigns that drive results. We're looking for someone who is analytical and customer-focused in their approach and thrives from using insight to inform their plans. We need you to be comfortable implementing and optimising digital marketing activity, and happy managing your campaigns hands-on. With a keen eye for design and well-versed in all marketing disciplines, you will know how to brief creative teams and media buyers to get the best results for a campaign.

A highly positive and collaborative approach is a must and you will be great at building strong relationships both internally and externally, at senior, peer and team level. Above all, you want to help us dramatically increase the general public's understanding of, and empathy with, people struggling with homelessness and bad housing and grow support for our cause.

Benefits

We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

Safeguarding is everyone's business. Shelter is committed to protecting the health, wellbeing and human rights of those we support, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. All our staff will be expected to observe professional standards of behaviour and conduct their work in line with our Safeguarding Policies.

At Shelter, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We are facing diverse problems, so need diverse people to tackle them.

Shelter does not accept unsolicited CVs from external recruitment agencies nor accept the fees associated with them.
