The Role
Stopford Energy and Environment is looking for a Junior Renewable Energy Consultant to be responsible for handling a portfolio of diverse projects and activities focussed on supporting renewable energy projects. They will execute a combination of desk and laboratory based green technology development projects as well as support consulting projects. The consultant will also support marketing and business development activities at Stopford.
The person in this position will report to the Principal Consultant who will identify and define their project priorities and deliverables. It will be the Consultant's responsibility to effectively manage and deliver work packages and projects that have been assigned.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have:
• A degree in chemical engineering, environmental science, environmental engineering, renewable energy or related graduate or post-graduate degree• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant industry• Highly developed analytical, presentation and reporting skills• Proven sector specialism (e.g. remediation, waste, renewable energy, planning or policy etc) and an ability to develop new business in this area• An ability to deliver innovative solutions into process technology, energy and environment sectors• Ability to influence and lead in a fast-paced and collaborative environment• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Strong leadership skills and desire to take on additional responsibility in the future• Ability to understand people and identify and respond to their concerns• Strong communicator with an ability to tailor content and style of communications in the most demanding and ambiguous situations. Able to persuade without dominating at the highest levels• Can operate on the big picture as well as with detail• Excellent presentation skills, with solid oral and written communication capabilities• Hold a full UK driving licence.
