Library & Information Officer
Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.
Based in Central Library, you will be required to take a lead in developing library services to children, promoting and delivering library events, and supervising library staff. This is a full-time post.
You will have 2 Highers or equivalent including English or SVQ Level 3 and an ECDL qualification or equivalent.Responsibilities
As part of Leisure & Culture Dundee's Library and Information Service provide an efficient, responsive and courteous service to the users of the Service.The Individual
You will have experience of working in a library or information environment, and be skilled in use of social media. You will be adaptable, with good organisational and communication skills and an ability to motivate staff. You will have good customer care skills, be self-motivated, adaptability and creative and have an enthusiasm for working with children.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete an online behavioural questionnaire.
