Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join our integral Finance Department based in Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full time basis as part of a 1 year fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of GBP18,000 - GBP23,000 per annum.

Key duties and responsibilities of our HR Officer:
This is an integral HR role, where the successful candidate will maintain effective front line service delivery, supporting the wider People and Culture departments (Volunteer Management, Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Employee Relations) on relevant administrative tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Salary of GBP18-23k per annum, depending on experience
- Providing management reports on employee-related data to assist with the management and development of staff
- Overseeing the administration of Human Appeal's monthly payroll and pension contributions, ensuring utmost accuracy and that all payments are delivered on time
- Maintaining personnel files and up to date records on PEOPLE I.T. system to audit standards
- Monitoring organisational performance and adherence to policies by preparing reports on data such as lateness so that issues can be identified and improved
- Providing support in the administration of the recruitment process by completing pre-enrolment checks to ensure skilled candidates fit the company's values
- Ensuring all employment contracts are kept up to date and in line with legislation
- Supporting the wider HR team to plan events such as annual employee conferences and staff award dinners

What we're looking for in our HR Officer:
- Graduate in HR, ideally working towards a CIPD qualification
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within Human Resources
- Computer literate and highly organised, with a calm under pressure and willingness to learn
- Passionate about international development work and humanitarian aid
