Our client Colchester based secondary school are seeking an English graduate to join their strong department as an English academic mentor.

The successful applicant for this English Academic Mentor role will be a graduate who has achieved greatly throughout their academic record including a 2:2 or higher in an English related degree as well as an English related A-level. The ideal candidate must be an individual who is looking to utilise this English academic mentor role as a steppingstone before applying for teacher training in the future.

Starting September, as an English Academic Mentor you will find yourself supporting KS3 students of mixed abilities both in and outside the classroom. You will take students out on one-to-one and group booster sessions to enhance their understanding of the curriculum as it nears closer to the GCSE exam period. You will utilise past papers to ensure that the GCSE students are prepared in the best possible way.

Located in Colchester this 'Good' secondary school have a fantastic reputation for supporting local graduates secure support roles within the education sector with the view of enrolling them onto their school's direct teacher training programme.
