Industrial Cyber Security Professional

End December 2019

Home-based with large amounts of travel to France

Overview

My client a leading energy provider is looking to engage a Cyber Security Professional to join them until the end of the year. This position does require SC level clearance. It also requires travel to France.

The objective is to procure cyber security professional services to support the HPC Security Case. A long-term relationship is anticipated. The initial requirement is to:

  • Update two security cases for the centralised I&C systems (TXS Based Systems Security Case, SPPA-T2000 Based Systems Security Case)
  • Create an I&C security case summary document

Work in 2020 and beyond could include the creation of further security cases, for example for systems or groups of systems including the Site Security Management System, Turbine, Power Transmission Platform, HVAC, mechanical handling systems, etc.

It is expected that you will spend several weeks in France over the contract period. The frequency and duration of these trips will be agreed on.

Deliverables

The milestone for the initial delivery will be:

  • Delivery of updated TXS and SPPA-T2000 security cases:

Support is requested on a capped Time and Materials basis. The specific tasks and schedule of Deliverables during the task period will be agreed on a monthly basis.

To achieve the Objectives, the following Activities will be required:

  • Analysis of existing HPC I&C technical and security documentation.
  • Update of cyber security cases and supporting documents for I&C systems.
  • Creation of an I&C summary safety case document and supporting dashboard.
  • Interaction with the Responsible Designers

Potentially interact with the internal and external regulator to support the Responsible Engineer in the presentation of security cases.

Skills and Knowledge

REQUIRED

  • Experienced in the authoring of cyber security cases.
  • Experienced in cyber security assurance of operational technology, ideally nuclear and/or industrial systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of cyber security standards including ISO27001 and HMG IAS 1 and 2.

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge and experience of the Qinetiq?? DBSy??? modeling method.
  • Professionally qualified in cyber security (e.g. CCP, CISM, CISSP).

Experience of the nuclear industry.
