Position: Technical Inspector/Surveyor
Location: Berkshire
Salary: GBP33,804 to 38,775
Length of Contract: Permanent
Greenacre Recruitment have been asked to assist a Social Housing Provider in Berkshire to recruit for a Technical inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose
* Ensuring that empty properties are prepared ready for re-letting in a consistent, effective and efficient manner and to specified standards and ensure all areas of landlord compliance are satisfied
* Carrying out quality checks on completed Responsive Repairs and other categories of work
* Providing advice on technical issues and liaising with other departments
* To carry out joint mutual exchange inspections with Tenancy Neighbourhood Officer(s)
* To manage annual void budget and provide monthly budgetary updates
* To keep up to date with any technical developments or changes to relevant legislation
Requirements
* Fully qualified in a construction related trade
* Holds a current and full UK driving Licence with own car, which is available for work
* Experience of working in a building maintenance environment in a customer facing role
* Experience in working in a Social Housing environment
* Ability to undertake technical inspections, to evaluate findings and produce contract specifications
* Experience of monitoring budgets and contributing to budget preparation
* Shows awareness of the needs of internal/external customers
* Knowledge and understanding of requirements relevant to the post, including landlord compliance and health and safety requirements
