We're an ambitious law firm with a clear strategy. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding services to clients in an innovative way. Our lawyers are clearly central to that, but so too are the people who support them.

There are fundamental changes happening in the legal services market driven by client expectations and technology. The traditional model for providing legal services is being redefined with clients expecting law firms to deliver innovative business models, increased efficiency without compromising on quality. In response, Womble Bond Dickinson has established a multi-disciplinary legal team to deliver innovative, market leading legal support to the lawyers across our business in the Real Estate, Commercial Disputes, Corporate and Commercial practice groups in administrative and high volume processing activities.

We're now developing that team and expanding our real estate support into the Bristol office. As a result, we're looking for a Paralegal to join this team, working with the wider real estate group in Bristol which could see you supporting planning matters. Previous real estate experience is not essential but an interest in the area, and some legal education would be helpful.

In the planning team, you'll be responsible for supporting large DCO and CPO projects and will assist in managing the DCO/ CPO documentation, provide support through the examination process and through to consenting/ confirmation. You will also support work on major commercial and residential schemes, undertake research tasks, support real estate transactions; take responsibility for searches, post completion activities and managing the associated documentation. You'll demonstrate an interest in planning and real estate, a sound commercial understanding and awareness, a high level of client service delivery and apply a commercial appreciation of billing and time recording.

What are we looking for?

We're proud of our diverse teams and believe this is key to our success. Our people bring a very broad range of experience and skills and you'll be no different. While you might have a background in law or legal qualifications, we're not necessarily looking for that. What's most important to us is that you're able to provide the highest level of customer / client experience in a fast paced environment, will take ownership and use initiative, demonstrate excellent time management and self-motivation with proven forward planning skills whilst with the ability to prioritise. You must also have good communication skills, numeracy and literature skills, and experience of using IT software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

What's in it for you?

We know that it's not all about us. You'll want to be assured that this is the right opportunity for you and we really believe that this is a fantastic place to work. You'll be joining a supportive team where you can learn from true leaders in their field and build your experience with access to great quality work and great clients. Supported by a collegiate approach, and firm wide commitment to paralegal career development there are fewer better places to start your legal career.

And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
