Associate / Principal Landscape Architect, Bristol
Leading development and infrastructure consultants; environment, planning, engineering and transport.
Peter Brett Associates, now part of Stantec, have an opportunity for an experienced Landscape Architect to join our growing Landscape team based in our conveniently located Bristol office.
Our Landscape practice forms part of our highly successful Environment Group, and work on a variety of projects, including some nationally significant development, infrastructure and regeneration projects. Some of our completed work can be reviewed at -
As a business we have an ambitious growth agenda in the UK. By becoming part of Stantec, we have reinforced our ability to grow and created new and exciting opportunities for our business and our people. This position will play an important part in supporting and realising that growth within our Landscape team.
The Opportunity:
You'll play an important part in supporting our Landscape team leader in contributing to successful project delivery, including preparation of fee proposals and financial management. You'll offer landscape planning support to projects for a wide range of developments throughout the UK, leading and managing the landscape input to projects for clients and cultivating strong client and project team relationships.
You will also play an active part in supporting the development of colleagues within the team, helping to influence and shape the team's growth, and in turn developing your own career and expertise with a registered practice of the Landscape Institute.
You will be encouraged to innovate and collaborate, working with clients and other disciplines to create sustainable value for our clients and communities.
About You:
As a Landscape Architect with proven UK project experience (and ideally Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), you'll share our desire to work with clients and stakeholders to create excellent places which provide multiple benefits to people, communities, and the environment.
You'll have a strong knowledge of environmental planning issues beyond the discipline of landscape architecture, and environmental impact assessment.
You'll be capable of building positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels; and will use your organisation skills to manage tasks effectively and to successful conclusion. Your excellent communication skills and ability to compile and review reports will speak for themselves.
As a proactive and engaged team-player, you'll enjoy actively participating in activities to support and facilitate the development of colleagues within the Landscape team, as well as within the wider business.
You'll ideally have experience of undertaking LVIAs and appraisals in support of planning applications, undertaking townscape assessments, and have experience of being, or providing support to, an Expert Witness.
