Production Team Leader
Job Title: Team Leader
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Location: Newhaven
Salary: GBP25,000
Are you looking for your next team leader career in a fast-paced production environment? Our client is looking for a team leader to join their large team in Newhaven.
Overview of Role: Oversee production operations. Ensures that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organising work flows. The role is an integral part of the manufacturing process, competence and able to comprehend complex operations while optimising day-to-day activities to minimise operations cost.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
* Organise work flow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
* Oversee and coach employees
* Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
* Check production output according to specifications
* Submit reports on performance and progress
* Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
* Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
* Enforce strict Health & Safety guidelines and company standards
Person Specification:
* NVQ Level 3 Management (preferred)
* GCSE Maths Science (preferred)
* Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
* Experience in implementing and using lean processes
* Advanced skills in MS Office
* Organisational and leadership abilities
* Communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
* Problem-solving skills
* Experience is electrical manufacturing (preferred)

Working hours Monday to Thursday 7.30 am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30 - 12.30pm
