An excellent opportunity has arisen to apply for the role of Legal Counsel. Reporting into the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for providing Legal support and advice for all Business Units and general business in the Norden region.

Legal Counsel responsibilities include:

-Advising all parts of the business in the UK, Ireland and Nordic region on the management of legal risks encountered in their day to day business.
-Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including supply agreements, distribution agreements and media agreements.
-Advising the business on IP matters.
-Proactively engaging with the businesses to manage and mitigate risk.
-Supporting on strategic business project and initiatives.
-Analysing and advising marketing teams on marketing and advertising campaigns of Henkel products. Ensuring that they comply with appropriate regulations.
-Managing disputes with customers and suppliers, including advising the business, drafting appropriate correspondence and managing external lawyers, where necessary.
-Liaising with Henkel lawyers around the world to ensure conformity of advice given to the company and compliance with local laws. Where required, co-ordinating pan-European/global legal teams in negotiating contracts applicable in multiple jurisdictions.
-Managing and liaising with external legal advisers, when required, making decisions on the advice given and advising the business accordingly.

The ideal Legal Counsel:

-Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE
-Previous experience ideally gained in-house or from private practice
-An understanding of commercial business practices
-Excellent communicator, able to communicate complex legal concepts
-Ability to analyse and recommend solutions to legal issues
