This is an exciting time to join Home Group - one of the UK's Largest Housing providers and be part of our brilliant flexible bank. You'll be supporting our amazing customers, while picking and choosing the shifts you want to work.

Where you could work

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have diagnosed mental health issues. They live in either our 24 hour support purpose built blocks of 11 and 14 flats, or our dispersed properties across Worcestershire, which are in Worcester, Kidderminster and Bromsgrove. So you will be flexible working across both our accommodation based services and in the community.

We help our customers with everything from looking after their property to attending appointments with primary healthcare or community groups, to supporting through a crisis.

About our team

You'll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we're not just a team we're a 'work family'. We are lucky to have two managers for this large service, one is Katie who has been with Home Group for a huge twelve years across different roles, and has worked her way up to her Senior Client Service Manager post, and Sophie who has been with home Group for three and a half years; having started as a support worker within this service and working her way to Client Services manager. There are 18 of us in the team and we don't just love to support our customers, we're there for each other too!

Customer quote

"You have helped me find myself and who I am, when I came here I was lost, you have brought me out of my shell and I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I now believe in myself, when I put my mind to it I can do anything I want." Amy

There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from supporting our customers to achieve their hopes and aspirations, working to bespoke care plans. You'll go home each day knowing that you've made an amazing difference to vulnerable people's lives. How amazing is that!

One day you might be helping our customer manage their finance or household tasks, the next you might be off to the seaside for fish and chips! Rest assured that wherever you will be working, we will support you all the way!

About you

You thrive both on working with a range of vulnerable customers, who all have different support needs, as well as working with colleagues across different services!

You'll be flexible to work at short notice, as you'll be the one picking your next shift. The great news is that you'll be gaining loads of experience working in different services or locations. But we do need to be a real people person!

Though you'll have the heart of a Lion, you'll sometimes need the skin of a Rhino, however they don't take away from the caring nature you display towards our customers.

To make sure our customers are well supported, you'll ideally have worked with vulnerable adults or in a supported housing environment before. Don't worry, we won't drop you in the deep end, we'll help to you understand how things work at Home Group! However to be brilliant, we do need you to have a caring attitude and the desire to learn and make a difference!

As this is a community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don't worry, we'll pay you expenses to cover this use!
