Salary: GBP30,401 - GBP37,267 (Agenda for Change Band 6)
Permanent 37.5hours (flexible working hours)
We are currently inviting applications for the above position of Clinical Quality and Performance Auditor within the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for managing a programme of continuous call audits that are received by the clinicians within the contact centre for both NHS 999 and NHS 111 in order to meet monthly deadlines, ensuring that these clinicians provide an exceptional level of care, whilst complying with the current clinical call handling protocols and procedures.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills and be able to provide constructive feedback to Nurse/ Paramedic Clinical Advisors and Nurse/ Paramedic Senior Clinical Advisors working within the contact centre.
They will be required to analyse statistical information from a range of computer applications and use this data to highlight potential improvement in clinical call processing procedures, conveying this information to the Clinical Section Managers.
The successful candidate(s) must have suitable clinical qualification with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience, including experience working in Primary Care, A&E or First Contact settings. They should also be NHS Pathways trained, preferentially with experience taking both 111 and 999 calls; NHS Pathways coach accreditation is also desired, but not essential.
At present, you will be based mainly at Bernicia House but will have the option of working from other EOC sites in Hebburn and Billingham.
