Electronics Engineer
Purpose: An experienced Electronics Engineer who has knowledge in analogue & digital circuits incorporating embedded processors and FPGA devices. Working as part of an engineering team to provide all aspects of the development lifecycle from initial user requirements through design, implementation and delivery within the Defence Industry.
Essential Skills & Experience
??Broad electronics experience.
??Microcontroller and microprocessor-based design and software coding (C / C++).
??FPGA based design and firmware coding (VHDL / Verilog).
??Analogue and digital design.
??Safe working practices in accordance with Health & Safety and Electrical Regulations.
??Knowledge of the Cadence design tools, programming experience in Java, Android MDM.
??Ability to multi task and prioritise workload with a hands-on approach
??Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
??Strong communication skills both written and oral.
??Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
??Full UK driving licence.
??Problem solving and fault finding down to component level.
??Ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
??Responsible for the architectural and detailed design of Analogue and Digital electronic circuits using Cadence package
??Development of embedded software (C / C++) and firmware (VHDL) for embedded systems.
??Designing and developing new products
??Fault finding
??Working with external test houses to demonstrate equipment has been built in compliance to MoD and European standards, including CE marking.
??Complying with all health and safety requirements and safe operating practices and procedures operated by the company.
??Preparation of documentation associated with the development lifecycle (Bill of Materials, schematics and Change Notes), and configuration in accordance with company procedures
??Assisting and liaising with project teams on electronic aspects of products and systems.
Occasional offsite support to install and maintain the equipment.
Desirable Qualifications
??Previous experience working with MoD customers & equipment tests standards
??Degree educated or equivalent qualification
??LINUX / Windows cross platform development.
??Knowledge of CE Marking
