Channel Edge Media is a leading publishing and events company that showcases the very best of entrepreneurial Britain, situated in Chelmsford, Essex. We are looking for a marketing assistant to join our fast growing team.
Reporting to the head of sales & marketing, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years B2B marketing experience (media preferred but not essential), The Marketing Assistant will have strong administration and organisational skills as well as being an effective co-ordinator.

-Perform market analysis and research on competition
-Manage and maintain all aspects of Social Media marketing- Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
-Manage and maintain existing media event partnerships and update regulary
-Prospect new event/ media partnership attend and manage all collateral required
-Co-ordinate the design and print management when necessary
-Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities both online and offline
-Co-ordinate the distribution of press releases and compile successful PR activity
-Report on marketing analytics web traffic and movement, including social media marketing activity
-Update and maintain the marketing documentation and databases
-Co-ordinate email marketing campaigns
-1hr per day social media engagement strategy
-Create pre-written social media posts for internal marketing activity and - media partners
-Attend networking events
-Strong academic background preferred but not essential
-At least 2 years in a relevant marketing role
-Previous marketing experience essential, preferably in a publishing/ event business environment
-Previous social media marketing experience essential
-Proven track record in achieving targets and goals
-Experience of working independently and as part of a team
-Use of Microsoft office package eg Word, ExCel, PowerPoint, CRM
-Use of Google Analytics
-Excellent understanding of social media tools and marketing
-An understanding of email marketing
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Very organised with attention to detail
