My client has a requirement for a Mobile Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis; to be based ideally within the West Midlands.
The client works on a range of process plants projects within the utility, power and nuclear sector. You will be involved with the aftermarket care for existing live process plant sites working on a range of equipment types. The role will entail the servicing of existing equipment, installation and commissioning new parts/plant/equipment and the follow up reporting.
The role can be based from home, the client has an office with most sites being based in the UK, although some international travel may be required.
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Home based role - National Sites - Office in the West Midlands
SALARY: GBP30,000 - GBP37,000 per annum (Plus generous package)
The role will be a home-based role and will involve travel to clients throughout the UK to carry out service work as necessary and support installation, commissioning, repair and warranty.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Process, chemical (chemistry) or mechanical engineering knowledge
* Experience of commissioning and installation
* Previous experience working on a sites such as a power station, water treatment plant or waste treatment plant
* Previous fault-finding experience
* FAT test experience
* Mechanical or chemical engineering background
* Aftermarket care most applicable, commissioning new plant acceptable
* Ability to report on current packages of work and existing equipment condition
Beneficial Skills and Experience
* Water industry experience
* Electrical experience
The client is working on process plant projects; you would likely be dealing with reverse osmosis, ion exchange, de-mineralisation, nitrate removal, chemical dosing type packages.
The client have advised that the role would suit someone who has previously worked independently, or someone who has experience working on one specific site.
The client is looking to get someone started ASAP and are looking to commence interviews next week.
