Barrhead Travel's Head of Employee Development is a key role in the delivery of our strategy and Barrhead Travel's professional engagement objectives. We are looking for a senior professional with a track record of success. As a driven, confident and creative professional with a commercial mind-set, you will be a skilled influencer who is able to deliver an organisation-wide impact.
You will have a proven track record of managing a team, scoping and designing learning & development (L&D) programmes for the entire workforce.
You will have expert working knowledge of learning theories, frameworks, digital techniques and full L&D life cycle combined with experience of working within a large complex organisation with a diverse workforce. Most importantly you will have a great track record of delivering excellence through people and managing a team to deliver first class learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Defining Barrhead Travel's employee development agenda in line with the overall strategic business objectives
Leading and developing the design and delivery teams to ensure the business has highly skilled colleagues to carry out its business processes
Leading the design and delivery plans to support employee growth and contributing to the further development of Barrhead Travel's workforce
Liaising and communicating with the management teams across Barrhead Travel to ensure all business priorities are aligned and delivered in a consistent way
Reporting to the human resources director and working closely with the leadership team to collaborate on the design and development of initiatives to train, develop and retain Barrhead Travel's workforce
Relationship management with internal heads of departments and external providers to secure training provision and funding where required
