My client is currently looking for an experienced QUALITY ENGINEER to work at their manufacturing site in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
THE ROLE:
As a Quality Engineer you will provide quality expertise across the site, you will be responsible for maintenance and improvement of the operational quality systems, ensuring conformity of products, systems and improving quality performance.
THE PERSON:
You will ideally have Quality experience in Automotive, Aerospace or Food manufacturing and be able to implement these industry standard quality systems into the site with the support of the Quality Manager; as well as ensuring key day-to-day quality activities are carried out in support of the operational areas.
As the Quality team develops, you may be expected to lead a small team of Quality Controllers providing direct quality support to Operations.
The role will require both time spent working on the factory floor with Operations, especially when problem solving and implementing new systems; as well as time spent in the office, creating reports, presenting findings and ensuring required administrative tasks are carried out.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Have a Quality Engineering qualification or equivalent, within a manufacturing engineering environment.
• Quality Control or Quality Engineering experience
• Automotive manufacture background extremely preferable
• Qualified ISO9001:2015 internal auditor as a minimum, AS9100 Rev. D and external auditor qualifications preferred
• Experience with some of the following: Gauge studies, APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA, 8D problem solving and Statistical Process Control
• Keen eye for detail and process adherence
• Approachable and able to work with operators and leaders
• Able to use utilise Microsoft Office suite of software products
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
