City Services is responsible for the Council’s front line services including, customer service channels (digital, contact centre and face to face) and environmental operations such as waste, cleansing, highway drainage, projects, transport, parks and cemeteries.
About the job
The post holder will report directly to the Highways and Engineering Service Manager have experience in a municipal engineering highways and development environment, including traffic and road safety drainage and highway engineering design and construction.
About the person
The post holder will hold a minimum of HND/HNC in civil Engineering or other related discipline and have experience in working in a design/construction related environment with strong bias in highways engineering. This post requires you to demonstrate the ability to work well as both an individual and team member with minimal management input. The post holder(s) will also be required to possess an ability to organise and prioritise tasks and deliver complex outcomes to tight deadlines.
You will be skilled at analysing multiple sources of information, making excellent decisions, and driving difficult situations towards a positive resolution.
