This is an excellent opportunity to join the RPC Group plc - a global design and engineering company specialising in polymer conversion in packaging and non-packaging markets. Highly acquisitive, this successful Group generates sales in excess of £3.6 billion p.a. from over 188 operations across 33 countries.

UCP Zeller, part of the Bramlage Division, manufactures plastic injection moulded closure  solutions for a blue chip customer base in pharmaceutical,  food, personal care, beverage and household sectors.  Employing over 300 people, the business has generated significant growth through innovation, market diversification and investment.  Quality accreditations include IS013485, 9001, 14001 and 18001, BRC and PAS-99. The plant is unionised and currently operates 24/5, with additional weekend shift.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your key focus will be in driving the operational strategy to support continued growth and industrialisation of new products which will demand even more agility as product complexity increases. You will continue to develop World Class operational performance, harnessing the support of a committed and loyal workforce to maximise profitability, improve efficiencies through continuous improvement and foster a customer- focussed, quality culture to respond to the needs of the international customer base that it supports. Managing Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning and Toolroom functions, your previous experience of mentoring, coaching and developing teams will be particularly valued in a position where effective succession planning, training and development will be key to achieving the company’s substantial potential.

With a history of operational management success, candidates will be degree qualified, with experience of managing change and delivering major operational improvement programmes, preferably in a plastics moulding, or similar sizeable, high volume, fast moving manufacturing environment e.g. packaging, engineering, FMCG, automotive etc.  With sound financial and commercial acumen, well versed in driving CI strategies, you must have excellent team building and communication skills to build strong, open relationships with your team, suppliers, customers and senior colleagues.
